Between Lafty Lad, Wizkid & Mo'Cheddah

In 2010, i watched on TVC's Star Profile, how two music stars within my age bracket were shown off on TeeVee.

And i was like, ..damn, these are guys born same period as me who also have one of the many talents i posses. So i began to think in reminiscence.

Now selling 'spare parts' in Ebute-Metta, Lagos, you know na ... as an Ibo Boy wey just join him peoples' trade! I began to thinker the feasibility of a quick switch.

The major reason why i agreed to come to this city in the first place was almost dying down. African China had been the Infleuncer-In-Chief of my trip on that 24th day of April of that year.

They had told me, as to so many village kids too, lots of fantasies about the city. Little did i know that i was going to jump on a bus without dunlop abi na foam, on the seats for the first time. I also ended up in Olaleye. If you know, you know.

The two music stars on the tv were Wizkid and Mo'Cheeda and the one watching the two was Lafty Lad.

These guys, Wizkid and Mo'Cheddah inspired the hell out of me and gave me reasons to be in this hustle and struggle today. Shout out to them!

MY BRIEF BIO

As a person, I've always wanted to inspire, motivate, entertain, better lives and have fun with whatever I do. And that is what I've found in Art.

I'm Lafty Lad - Working to Inspire, Motivate, Entertain and Better Lives via Music, Writing and General Media.

After years of experimentation settled I for my natural discipline; Art: ... 'Music, Writing and General Media' ... which ironically I had avoided earlier on in my life during my college days owing to counter influences from people that are intimate to me. Nevertheless, the artistic talent remained evident and constant in whatever I did and do.

In pursuit of this undying dream of being a source of inspiration, a voice and face that will better lives and entertain multitudes through my arts in Music and Writing especially, I founded; I'SABEL ARTEM GROUP, a certified Art/Entertainment/Media Company with I'SABEL as the registered trademark. The mark; I'SABEL which is an acronym for "I Seek A Better Life" is my official Art/Product mark.

Now with the skills as a Music Producer, plus my natural love and ability to Write, Compose & Sing, I'm working hard daily to make sure that I'll come out with great musical works (circular & conscious) that will help all and sundry as we go through the hustle and tussle of life. I talk about anything I can imagine in my music including but not limited to societal good and bad, love, life, living, funfair, fanfare, money, women ... etc. And ultimately, I make sure that I put across at least one positive message with every release no matter the theme.

I as well write to motivate, inspire and better lives. My debut work as a motivational writer, an inspirational handbook which tells as the title; "LIFE CAN BE BETTER" goes, that every life, no matter how bad or good including yours, can get better because the best will always get better is currently in the works for a sooner than later release. "LIVE CAN BE BETTER" is simply a concise expo into 'Life, Living & Leaving" meant to inspire the best out of you. Reading the hand book will simply motivate and lead you to the opening and exploitation of the never seen before and better chapter of your life. In case you are wondering, my birth names are; Anthony Chimeziri Chinagorom Obioha, from Isiala Mbano LGA of Imo State, Nigeria. Born on the 6th day of August, 1989, I attended Community Primary School - Umudike na Ofeiyi and Okohia Secondary School. And I moved to Lagos post-Primary/Secondary school. Of-course in search of greener pastures.

THE BRAND, STAND, VISION & STATEMENT.

I feel well represented with the following acronyms:

Lafty Lad: - (Brand/Artiste name)
I derived 'Lafty' from the word 'Lofty' which means high and noble. That's my humble and assumed placement.

MAITHOG:-"Music Artiste In The Hand Of God".
(Brand/Artiste stand)

I'SABeL:- "I Seek A Better Life".
(Brand Registered Trademark & ID statement)

The vision, future and long term goal of the Lafty Lad...MAITHOG...I'SABeL Brand is to reach out for a better life to all categories, kinds, class and fashion of human beings as possible across the world through music, writing & acting.

And two, to use whatever resources and means available to promote and ensure a better life and welfare for as much and as many as possible among the poor, suffering and less privileged ones in the society, around the world, starting from the immediate environ.

Yes, this Brand can achieve this with your support.

I know, I believe and I shall.

God gives the strength.

THE MOVEMENT

Since man is continually and constantly subject to being either happy or unhappy and for the fact that "I seek a better life" for all; I see a tool that I can use to bring a remedial happiness to the man who at times needs to get out of his moody and sad condition since there is no means of permanent happiness on earth.

And that tool which I am talented to use is *MUSIC*, the universal language.

I use this tool to pass messages and information on issues and matters I believe are worth passing a message about. I touch and talk about variety of things that happen and are found under the sun and imaginable including hope, inspiration, motivation, love, life, living, hipping, hopping, funfair...e.t.c.

I sing, and occasionally rap. While doing any, i constantly strive to produce good music that can be enjoyed by vast majority of humans irrespective of religious/ethnic standing.

God gives the strength.

WANNA MAKE BASTARD SOUNDS

Life as it is, has all; but does not give all to any.

My heart bade me to pursue all. I tried to pursue all at once but found out that I can only get them, as good as i want, one at a time, one after the other.

I discovered that shared focus cannot give accurate result. I further found out that divided strength and, or energy achieves almost nothing.

I then realized that I have to lay all my focus at a time, to a given task with all the strength and energy available.

And that, is different from putting all eggs in one basket.

What then will I answer if am asked to say what I want?

I discover day after day that I am a music dab. My heart goes melting whenever I hear good music. I can't help it lately. There is a place in my heart for every genre.

I wanna make bastard sounds. Sounds that have no siblings. Sounds that stand-out, that gets singled out in the midst of multitudes; black and white.

I know, I can and I shall.

I wanna make sounds that rule the world.

Ideas come from God and rule the world because He owns the universe and whatever comes from Him must rule.

He alone can give the ability to do the above. No man can.

He gives to any one who cares.

The line drawn and labelled "Don't Cross" can only scare away the under motivated but the elevated mind will always see it as the starting point.
